Today in Japan, the number of damages caused by floods is increasing probably due to global warming. Japanese government also considers this fact as critical situation and starts organizing an expert panel on large-scale flood control measures.

林由佳		Yuka Hayashi
1980年	滋賀県に生まれる。	1980	Born in Shiga, Japan.
1998年	京都外国語大学にて英米語学専攻。イギリスとフランスに短期留学。	1998	Studied at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, specializing in British and American Studies. Studied in England and France.
2000年	ホノルルマラソンを走る。	2000	Run Honolulu Marathon.
2001年	富士登山競争に参加。	2001	Run up Mt. Fuji Marathon.
2005年	Monterey Institute of International Studies （国際政治学・大量破壊兵器不拡散専攻）修士課程修了。国際問題、外交政策等を専門とするシンクタンクにて研究助手。	2005	Finished MA in International Policy Studies with certification in Nonproliferation Studies at Monterey Institute of International Studies.Worked at a private think tank specializing in international policy as a research assistant.
2007年	国際協力に関するNPOスタッフとして勤める。	2005

1958年	オランダに生まれる。	1958	Born in Amsterdam, Holland.
1974年	HTS　AmsterdamにおいてElectronicsを学ぶ。	1974	HTS Electronics in Amsterdam.
1981年	Hoek　&　Sonepouse（オランダ）にてビデオ・エンジニアとして働く。劇場用CG担当。	1981	Worked as video engineer at Hoek & Sonepouse. Created computer graphics for theater play on PC (in Amsterdam).

		1991	Moved to Tokyo.Worked for Birdland. Creating CG for Sankyou, Takada, NHK, NEC, Upjohn/Pharmacia and homepages for NEC , BirdLand, Euroact.
2004年	フリーランスとして独立、オランダ大使館にホームページデザインのアドバイス、ITコンサルタント、ソフトウェア開発として従事。
		2004	Advised the Dutch Embassy on homepage design. Started work free-lance. IT consultant for Dutch Embassy TWA department, developed project/task based time management system for Economic section at Dutch Embassy.
2008年	oudendijk.biz、yr-design.bizを設立。その他ルクセンブルク大使館、BDAのITコンサルタントを勤める。

Fading Borders till January 2010

As part of the celebration of 400 years of trade relations between the Netherlands and Japan, the exhibition Fading Borders is opening on 13 September 2009. The exhibition consists of a series of double portraits of Japanese/Dutch couples who live and work in the Netherlands and Dutch/Japanese couples who live.
